Living for the PromiseRevelation‬ ‭11:15-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

I have chosen, rather than to give hi-light to the different understandings of the End Times prophesies, to simply list a number of things prophesied to occur after the verses I just read, and to illustrate why we should live our lives day to day with this time on our mind, and knowing that it is a time to look forward too, not fear. First, notice this is a time of celebration in Heaven. Let us celebrate it each day in our lives!

Here are some of what comes next in semi-chronological order:

1. The wrath of God begins: “And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” Revelation‬ ‭16:1 KJV

2. The Son of Man appears: “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” Daniel‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬

3. ‭‭The Battle of Armageddon occurs: “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” Revelation‬ ‭19:11-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

4. ‭‭The Binding of Satan: “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” Revelation‬ ‭19:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

5. ‭‭Heaven on Earth for 1000 years: And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Daniel‬ ‭2:44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

6. ‭‭Great White Throne: “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” Revelation‬ ‭20:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

7. ‭New Heaven and Earth: “And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation‬ ‭21:2-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Just note that the special scriptures for the day represent a turning point. Before, the victories were those allowed by God…after this point all the important points are either the “end of the beginning” of God’s plan or the “beginning of the end” of Satan’s plan.
